Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 3 with CP&Y, Inc. for the Kenney Fort Boulevard (Segments 2 & 3) Project.

Body
Supplemental Agreement No. 1 covered the required engineering design for the water infrastructure associated with the Kenney Fort Segment 2 & 3 roadway. The Kenney Fort Boulevard corridor is an important north/south transportation arterial in Round Rock. This arterial roadway has been identified in the City's Transportation Master Plan as a corridor that is essential to the City's long-term growth and continued prosperity. The Transportation Master Plan has determined the ultimate section for this thoroughfare to be a 6-lane divided urban facility. Segment 2 & 3 will extend Kenney Fort Boulevard from Forest Creek Drive to SH 45. This roadway section will provide increased mobility as well as enhance the driving experience in Round Rock. This segment of roadway is being proposed as a stand-alone project and is only one part of a multi-segment multi-phase vision to construct a north/south arterial from the City's northern boundary to SH 45 to the south. The roadway engineering design contract was awarded by City Council to CP&Y, Inc. on February 11, 2016 for $933,519.78. Supplemental Agreement No. 1 in the amount of $135,900 increased the contact to $1,069,419.78.

In October 2018, Supplemental Agreement No. 2 was submitted by the City of Round Rock Transportation Department for additional engineering services. Supplemental Agreement No. 2 was in the amount of $840,597.18 which increased the contract amount to $1,910,016.96.

The current wastewater line is located under the proposed roadway. The existing line will b...
