Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the RM 620: Deepwood Drive to IH 35 Project.

The purpose of the proposed RM 620 Safety Improvements project from Deep Wood Drive to IH 35 is to improve safety and enhance mobility in the project area. The project includes a bridge to carry RM 620 traffic over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) and Chisholm Trail Road. In order to maintain access to businesses and residences in the vicinity of the proposed bridge, at-grade local access roads will be constructed between Lake Creek Drive and Chisholm Trail Road. A second bridge is proposed to carry RM 620 traffic over Lake Creek Drive.
The attached Standard Utility Agreement is between the State of Texas and the City of Round Rock. The estimated total water and wastewater relocation costs are $1,611,927.00. This relocation cost is reimbursable from TxDOT at a ratio of 53.37%, or $863,509.29 of the total water and wastewater relocation costs. This will leave the City with an estimated water and wastewater relocation cost of $748,417.71, or 46.63% of the total water and wastewater relocation costs. The attached agreement is for reimbursement from TxDOT for the portion of the project costs they are responsible for. No additional cost to the City is associated with this item.
