Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Grindline Skateparks, Inc. for the Shaylah Dame Skatepark Improvement Project.

This project includes making repairs and other maintenance upgrades to the Shaylah Dame Skatepark located at Clay Madsen Recreation Center. The Shaylah Dame Skatepark is approximately 14,000 sq. ft. with a flowbowl and street plaza. The park was opened in 2010 and has been extremely well used in the subsequent years. As a result, the park is beginning to show some signs of wear and tear. An assessment was completed identifying areas for repair and those items are addressed as part of this project. Repairs include, but are not limited to, replacing spalling concrete, filling cracks, replacing damaged coping, painting metal handrails and metal coping, and resealing all concrete.
Grindline Skateparks, Inc. was the company originally contracted by the City for the design/build of the original skatepark. This company has over 17 years experience designing, building, and repairing skateparks.
Cost: $61,800.00
