Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to The PlayWell Group, Inc. for the purchase of shelter equipment and patio shade structure at Clay Madsen Recreation Center.

This item will authorize the purchase of a 30'x70' metal pavilion structure as part of the Clay Madsen Recreation Center Improvement Project 2019. The purchase of the structure allows the outdoor fitness space to be usable in all seasons.
The Clay Madsen Recreation Center Improvement Project 2019 project will include demolition of existing concrete flatwork and pool patio, and the installation of new concrete flatwork, container pad, footings, fencing posts, drains, placement of custom shipping containers and purchase of site amenities/equipment.
Through inspections, PARD's Park Development Team worked with Waeltz & Prete, Inc. to develop a plan that would alleviate ongoing ADA compliance problem areas within the exterior areas of Clay Madsen Recreation Center. Other areas were evaluated for use and further programming opportunities. The pool patio was identified as an unused area where PARD would be able to program into an additional fitness area.
