The Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP) is the result of research and data collection, including development of a capability and vulnerability assessment, hazard identification and analysis; examination of previous mitigation actions; development of updated mitigation actions; and prioritization of mitigation actions unique to the City.
The HMAP is FEMA Approved Pending Adoption, in accordance with the provisions of Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (Public Law 106-390), the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, 44 Code of Federal Regulations Part 206, and planning standards adopted by the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
