Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a System Purchase Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the MCC7500 Console Expansion Project for Fire Dispatch Paging.

The Round Rock Fire Department is dispatched through "toning" or "calling" of specific stations. . We currently have radio equipment that are equipped with the functionality to be individually "toned"/"called" but lack the dispatching console ability. This item adds individual radio calling functionality to the dispatch consoles and will improve our ability to be more mobile with the radios and still available for calls without constant monitoring of radio transmissions.
This Item is an expansion project on the existing contract that the Department has with Motorola Solutions. As part of the continuing project, Motorola is giving a $32,674.00 discount off the System Price. This project was approved by Council as an "Authorized Purchase" Capital Item.
