Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 2 with Rodriguez Transportation Group, Inc. for the Gattis School Road (Segment 3) Project.

The City and Engineer executed a contract for Engineering Services on the 22nd of March 2018 in the amount of $1,013,037.45, and then executed Supplemental Agreement # 1 on February 14, 2019 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $117,447.94. The new total contract amount was $1,130,485.89.
It has become necessary to amend the contract again and to modify the scope of services of the engineer to extend the field survey approximately 500 feet south on Windy Park and Cottonwood Ct. and add additional SUE work. The engineers will update the design of the plan sheets at the western project limits, Windy Park and Cottonwood Ct. including drainage. Additional traffic control plans will be developed for the revised Windy Park intersection. The total number of ROW parcels for acquisition will be increased by 1 for a total of 38 parcels. Parcels 1 and 2 will have to be updated as well. This supplemental agreement #2 is in the amount of $89,780.42 bringing the total contract amount to $1,220,265.81.
