Title

Consider a resolution determining that Competitive Sealed Proposal is the delivery method which provides the best value for the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System 10 MGD East Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project.

Body

The Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System (BCRWWS) is currently under design for a 10 million gallons per day East Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion project. The City of Round Rock manages all the projects for the BCRWWS since the two wastewater treatment plants are located within the city limits of Round Rock, and Round Rock is a majority owner in the treatment system.

The project is in final design and set to go out for bids in November 2019.  The regional partners have determined that the Competitive Sealed Proposal (CSP) method for project award provides them with the best value for this large project.

Legal has determined this delivery method is allowed; therefore, staff recommends approval of this delivery method for use with this East Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion project.
