Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to John Deere for the purchase of four (4) 2019 John Deere 410L Backhoe Loaders.

This is a purchase of a four (4) John Deere tractors needed to support City Operations in accordance with the Sourcewell Cooperative Contract No. 032515-JDC.

We are replacing these backhoes because of age, and maintenance. As you can see all these backhoes are 15-25 years old. The backhoes come in to the shop often for repairs, and it is getting increasingly difficult to locate parts for them. On numerous occasions we had to send cylinders to vendors for rebuild, and/or had to get vendors to fabricate parts for us, resulting in excess costs for the city.
