Title

Consider an ordinance annexing 21.28 acres of land generally located southwest of the intersection of Eagles Nest Street and University Boulevard. (Second Reading)

Body

The subject tract is in the City’s ETJ (Extraterritorial Jurisdiction) and the Applicant has requested voluntary annexation into the City of Round Rock.  The property owners, represented by Paul Milosevich, have petitioned the City for annexation. A 10.55-acre portion of the property is to be zoned as SR (Senior) district and the remaining 10.73 acres of the property to be zoned to MF-1 (Multifamily - Low Density). The Applicant attended three meetings with the Laurel Ridge Homeowners Association outside of the required P&Z and City Council meetings to provide project details and answer questions from the residents.  In addition, the Applicant spoke with concerned residents both prior to and following the P&Z meeting for the accompanying zoning requests.  Accompanying requests for original zoning to SR and MF-1 districts are separate agenda items.
