Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to Odessa Pumps for the purchase of a Fairbanks Morse Submersible Pump for the McNutt Lift Station.

Body

The City of Round Rock operates the McNutt Lift Station that pumps wastewater generated from the northeast part of Round Rock into the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (BCRWWTP). This list station currently has two submersible pumps that pump wastewater from the interceptor into the headworks of the BCRWWTP.  Currently, the lift station does not have a spare pump and if a pump were to need repair, the lead time would be significant.  This would place the City at risk of a wastewater incident.

The Utilities and Environmental Services Department recommends entering into an agreement with Odessa Pumps to purchase a replacement Fairbanks-Morse spare pump for the McNutt Lift Station in the amount of $105,600.

Cost: $105,600
