Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Joint Election Agreement and Election Services Contract with Williamson County and participating entities for the May 2, 2020 General and Special Elections.

This agreement is for both election services with Williamson County and a joint election with all the participating entities in the May election. The joint election agreement allows us to share all election costs with the other participating entities on a pro rata basis; and the election services contract allows Williamson County Elections to conduct the election on our behalf regarding ballots, polling locations, hiring election judges and workers, and all vote tabulations just to name a few. There are certain responsibilities that still remain with the City Clerk.
This agreement is for the May 2, 2020 election only and is not a multi-year contract.
Cost: Approx. $50,000 (Williamson County portion only)
