Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Master Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with National Intergovernmental Purchasing Alliance Company for participation in the OMNIA Partners Public Sector Cooperative.

 

Body

State Law allows cities to enter into Interlocal Agreements between governing bodies to satisfy bidding requirements when purchasing goods and services. The purpose of this agreement is to provide the City another option to facilitate compliance with State bidding requirements and realize administrative efficiencies and cost savings.

 

This agreement is very similar to other cooperatives that the City uses to purchase goods and services as well as a source to use when comparing vendor costs. This particular agreement will replace the cooperative agreements that the City has with both US Communities and National IPA Cooperatives.  Both of these cooperatives have been absorbed by the Omnia Partners Cooperative.  The new Omnia Partners cooperative will provide access to contracts for goods and services with Vendors the City uses such as Home Depot, Amazon and Office Depot.
