Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) and the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) identifying mutual responsibilities in carrying out the metropolitan planning process.
Body
To approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) and the City of Round Rock, in accordance with regulations 23 CFR 450.314.
Per MAP-21 and the FAST Act, federal regulations require a written agreement between the MPO, State DOT and public transit providers to clearly identify in a written agreement their mutual responsibilities in carrying out the metropolitan planning process.
This agreement includes specific provisions for cooperatively developing and sharing information related to the development of financial plans, performance data, performance targets and the reporting and tracking progress.
