Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Benmark Supply Company Inc. for the manufacturing of flanged meter spool/pup joints.

The Utilities & Environmental Services Department (U&ES) is requesting to enter into a five-year contract with Benmark Supply Company (Benmark). The City recently conducted an Invitation for Bid for spool pieces and Benmark was selected as the preferred vendor. The spool pieces will act as a retrofit to adapt our new Advanced Metering Infrastructure octave meters from the older long-bodied Automatic Meter Reading style meters. U&ES recommends this five-year term contract with Benmark for a not-to-exceed amount of $500,000.
