There is an active condemnation suit for the acquisition of this parcel (#26) which is scheduled for commissioners' hearing on September 30, 2020. The owners have requested the opportunity to grant the City possession of the r.o.w. parcel, which will allow for use to construct the proposed road facilities, in return for a partial payment of the estimated compensation and postponement of the hearing so that they can have additional time to prepare, and to engage in additional voluntary negotiation to potentially avoid a contested hearing. This type of request is typically granted by the City.
