Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Multiple Use Agreements with the Texas Department of Transportation regarding the Kenney Fort Boulevard Segments 2 and 3 Project from Forest Creek Drive to SH 45.

Body

This request is for Council to authorize the Mayor, on behalf of the City, to enter into a Multiple Use Agreement (MUA) for an Off-System Locally Funded Project with the State of Texas, acting through the Texas Department of Transportation regarding the Kenney Fort Boulevard Segments 2 and 3 Project, being the extension of Kenney Fort Boulevard from Forest Creek Drive to SH 45.

The Transportation Department has secured concurrence from the City of Pflugerville, Williamson County and the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Cap Metro) for this use of the MoKan Corridor. This MUA is the official request by the City to the State, to construct segments of Kenney Fort Boulevard within the MoKan right of way. The State has indicated a willingness to enter into this agreement as this use is in the public interest.
