This item is for the purchase of implementation services with Catapult Systems, LLC. to migrate the Citywide voice-over-ip phone system to the Microsoft Teams Voice cloud platform.
The Teams collaboration platform has been an integral part of our strategy to continue to communicate and meet effectively with our citizens and internal staff during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This project will migrate our on-site voice-over-ip phone infrastructure into our existing Teams collaboration platform providing another critical layer of flexibility for City staff to continue to operate effectively from any location or device during our continued response to the pandemic. It will also fully prepare us for all future emergencies that demand flexible ways to communicate and a fully mobile workforce.
Information Technology has been piloting Teams Voice since June 2020 to test and ensure the functionality of the program.
Note: This item will be submitted for reimbursement from CARES Act Federal funding and has already received pre-approval from Williamson County.
