Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 2 with CP&Y, Inc. for the Northeast Downtown Improvements Project.

In 2016, the City adopted the Downtown Improvement Plan (DIP) which serves as a planning document for the proposed future downtown roadway and utilities infrastructure. Since that time, the City has been undertaking projects based on the DIP to improve the downtown district.
The proposed utilities and roadway improvements will revitalize northeast downtown, support the new library site, and support future development.
Supplemental No. 2 is for additional engineering services, including adjustments to water and wastewater connections, stormwater tie-ins, light pole locations around the new Library site, and easement documentation for each utility company in the duct bank. This supplemental contract increases the compensation by $137,950, bringing the total contract amount to $1,121,032.54.
