Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Smith Pump Company, Inc. for the purchase of utility pump motor repair services.

The City has nine raw water pumps and motors located at the Lake Georgetown intake that pump raw water to the City's Water Treatment Plant located on Westinghouse Road. Lake Pump Nos. 1-3 are rated for 8 million gallon per day (MGD). Pump Nos. 4-6 and 7-9 are all rated for 6 MGD each.Lake Pump No. 3 recently had a complete failure with water intrusion into the motor, causing the motor to fail. The City would like to contract with Smith Pump Company for this repair for $96,175. Smith Pump has previously worked for the City on many projects. This repair work includes the complete rebuild of motor No. 3, including the Stator rewind.
