Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with HMWK, LLC for state governmental affairs and tax policy services.
Body
The attached contract provides professional consulting services on sales and other transactional tax issues for the City. Mr. John Kroll will work with City staff and Randy Cain to identify, monitor, and develop solutions for the new TAC Section 3.334 sales tax changes currently slated to go into effect October 2021.
In addition, Mr. Kroll will assist staff with any other technical or policy issues related to transactional type taxes including sales & use taxes and hotel taxes.
The contract is for one year, with two, one-year extensions at $60,000 per year.
