Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 1 with PM Construction & Rehab, LLC for the Lake Creek 10 & 11 Wastewater Improvements Project.
Body
In the City’s Wastewater Master Plan, it identified two sections of the Lake Creek wastewater system which were required to be up-sized to meet the needs for these lines at build out. The construction of a few higher density developments had resulted in the need to up-size these sections of lines. The Lake Creek 10 wastewater line improvements up-sized approximately 1,400 linear feet (LF) of existing 10-inch wastewater line to 12-inches in diameter and Lake Creek 11 wastewater line up-sized approximately 2,700 LF of existing 8-inch wastewater line to 10-inch and 12-inch in diameter.
On August 9, 2018, City Council awarded a professional engineering services agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., to perform the engineering services for design, bidding, and construction phase services to up-size these lines.
On January 15, 2020, three bids were received and the lowest bid in the amount of $591,935.00 was submitted by PM Construction & Rehab, LLC.
Change Order / Quantity Adjustment (CO/QA) No. 1 includes credit for bid items that during construction were determined to be no longer required. The total credit for CO/QA No. 1 equals $55,692.15. CO/QA No.1 will decrease the contract total amount to $536,242.85. The original contract agreement was $591,935.00.
