Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Fun Abounds, Inc. for the purchase and installation of playground equipment for Frontier Park through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.

This purchase order will include the demolition and disposal of an existing playground and surfacing at Frontier Park, installation of a new playground, and installation of new playground surfacing material. This playground will be themed as a nature playscape and will provide opportunities for play unique to any others in the City. This project is funded by CDBG HUD Entitlement Grants, therefore, the playground purchase included a formal bid process. Responses to the bid solicitation were scored based on qualifications of the design and install teams, price, design compatibility, and uniqueness of the design. A total of eight (8) companies participated in the design process, with Fun Abounds receiving the highest score.
Additional improvements as part of the Frontier Park Improvement Project 2020 includes concrete and ADA improvements, resurfacing the tennis court and general site amenity replacements, including fencing, benches, etc.
Cost: $152,524.00
