Consider a resolution authorizing the submittal of a grant application to TCEQ for the Governmental Alternative Fuel Fleet Grant Program (GAFF) for funds to supplement the cost of electric vehicles and related expenses.

With this TCEQ grant application it will supplement the purchase cost of Electric Vehicles and the Infrastructure to support these vehicles. Typically Electric vehicles are significantly more expensive than the standard gas engine vehicle. All of the vehicles selected for this grant are all on the FY22 replacement list. If approved for this grant it will be our initial step into the electric vehicles and we will be able to use 10% of the grant to support electric charging infrastructure.
