Body

This rezoning request has been initiated by the owner's agent, Bohler Engineering. The purpose of the request is to allow for the development of a Data Center with unique development standards. These include, but are not limited to: A 20' perimeter security wall, a communications tower, and increased landscaping standards along street frontages, and the absence of landscaping internal to the site. The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on June 16, 2021 and voted 5-0 to recommend approval of PUD No. 130. There were four public speakers that expressed concerns regarding the project consisting of noise, construction traffic, environmental, drainage, lighting, and the loss of the basketball and volleyball courts owned by Dell. Switch has been in contact with representatives of the Kensington neighborhood virtually, and will also be holding a community meeting on July 14th to discuss the project and address residents' concerns.
