Competitive sealed bids for the Buck Egger - Turf Replacement Project 2021 were opened on August 10th. Only one bid was received; but as the original manufacturer and installer of the field, Act Global Americas, Inc. was found to be the best value to the City. This contract will include the removal and replacement of an existing synthetic turf field that has reached the end of its useful life.
Originally installed in early 2012, the existing turf has outlived its 8-year warranty and it is showing the wear and tear one would expect after nearly 10 years of heavy use. As the only synthetic turf in our system, this field is very popular and regularly gets 30-40 hours of use per week. In order to continue to provide the level of service our community expects, this field must be replaced.
