Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to Silsbee Ford for the purchase of vehicles for the Police Department.

With this purchase order, General Services Department will establish a one-time purchase with Silsbee Ford for Ford vehicles needed to support City Operations.
This contract was established through a competitively solicited cooperative process. With the approval of this purchase order we will be replacing 22 Police units due to age and mileage and one unit due to an accident that was a total loss.
This request is typically brought before Council in October, at the start of the new fiscal year. However, with the longer lead times being encountered for vehicle orders, we are asking Council to approve a pre-order of vehicle replacements to get ahead of price increases and to ensure receipt of the vehicles in a timely manner.
Cost: $1,240,720.90
