The Kinningham House Project consists of approximately 5200 square feet of conditioned assembly space, restrooms, a warming kitchen, office, and storage space for camp programs and use. Additionally, 1,500 square feet of covered outdoor space surround the building. Mode Design Company modeled the outside of the building to represent a barn with a clerestory projection allowing more natural light into the building. Large roll up doors allow for addition light and versatile functionality.
The City received three competitive sealed proposals for the Kinningham Project on August 5th, 2021. John King Construction, Ltd. was the lowest proposer. The scoring committee ranked John King Construction the number one proposer based off of price and qualifications. John King Construction has successfully completed projects with the City of Round Rock including the Rabb House and the Fireball grille. John King Construction has a strong local presence and has been in business for over forty years. This agenda item is for the Round Rock City Council to consider a resolution determining that John King Construction, Ltd. provides the best value for the City for the Round Rock Kinningham House Project and authorize the Mayor to execute a standard Form of Agreement.
