Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to Freightliner of Austin for the purchase of dump trucks for the Utilities and Environmental Services Department.

With this purchase order General Services will replace four (4) dump trucks from Freightliner of Austin for the Utilities & Environmental Services Department. The dump trucks were identified for replacement due to age, maintenance cost, and equipment downtime. Substantial downtime has resulted from obsolete parts due to the age of eighteen to twenty-four years old. On average, over the past two (2) years, these trucks have been out of service for over seventy-two (72) days each. These new trucks will improve support to the Utilities Department to perform their mission.
This contract was established through a competitively solicited cooperative process.
Cost: $454,405.20
