Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Third Amendment to the Wastewater Service Agreement with Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality recently updated their permitting requirements for wastewater effluent discharge, necessitating the upgrade to the treatment process at the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater East Treatment Plant, in addition to the expansion already underway.
As a sub-regional customer of the City of Round Rock, Brushy Creek MUD is responsible for paying for a portion of the required upgrades which amounts to $1,355,000. Rather than pay cash upfront, Brushy Creek MUD would like to enter into a payment installment plan with the City. Basically, Round Rock is paying for the upgrades, but will be reimbursed by Brushy Creek MUD, with interest.
This third amendment to the Wastewater Service agreement outlines the debt service schedule to be paid by Brushy Creek MUD to the City over the course of the next 10 years.
