Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Howden Roots, LLC to service the City's Howden Turblex Compressors.

Body

The City owns and operates the Brushy Creek East Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. The plant currently has two Turblex blowers that deliver air to the aeration basins which is crucial to the plant’s operations as the air delivered to the basins help to feed the bacteria that makes the whole process work. These blowers require periodic inspections and maintenance that must occur over time, as well as parts that must be replaced. Howden is the sole source provider for all parts and service to these units.

The Utilities & Environmental Services Department recommends entering into this three year service contract with Howden Roots for the amount of $53,100.  This maintenance agreement costs is shared by the partner Cities based on their annual operational percentage of the budget.
