Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Engineering Services Contract with Halff Associates, Inc. for the Stormwater Master Plan 2022.

The City previously entered into an Engineering Services Contract with Halff Associates, Inc. in 2014 to develop a Stormwater Master Plan. The Stormwater Master Plan provided a cohesive plan to guide the city with respect to its long-term goals in management of its stormwater system. It identified issues such as maintenance of existing infrastructure, solving historically established flooding problems, and strategic regional projects to promote economic development in targeted growth areas.
The existing conditions of the creeks assessed back in 2014 have change over time and require a new assessment of all the areas. This Engineering Services contract will reassess the creeks within the City limits with updated data to evaluate potential flood and erosion risks, along with creating a list of areas in need of minor maintenance.
Staff recommends executing an engineering services agreement with Halff Associates for creating a new updated to current conditions Stormwater Master Plan.
