Consider a resolution nominating Fisher-Rosemount Systems, Inc. at its 1100 W. Louis Henna Blvd. facility as a qualified Enterprise Project, to be eligible to participate in the Enterprise Zone Program.

 

Body

This agenda item is a request for nomination of Fisher-Rosemount Systems, Inc.’s Round Rock facility as an Enterprise Project for job retention and creation benefits.  Fisher-Rosemount Systems, Inc. is upgrading and expanding their facility in Round Rock at 1100 W. Louis Henna Blvd. The total cost of the project is expected to be at least $9,000,000 in real property improvements as well as in business personal property (FFE) and will create 50 to 60 primary jobs. It will also serve to retain their employment level at the facility of over 600 employees.

Fisher-Rosemount Systems, Inc.’s basis for qualification of enterprise project designation are, (1) it involves “an expansion, renovation, or new construction”; (2) it will be completed within a predetermined period of time not to exceed 5 years; and (3) the company utilizes a cost center based accounting system that allows for tracking of income and expenses related to the qualified business site.

Fisher-Rosemount Systems, Inc. is located in Census Tract 205.04, Block Group 3, in Williamson County with a poverty level under 20%, as defined by the U.S. Census for 2010.  Fisher-Rosemount Systems, Inc. commits to hiring thirty-five percent (35%) economically disadvantaged persons, veterans or enterprise zone residents for its new or replacement personnel at the facility, for certified jobs over the next five years.
