Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Supplemental No. 2 with LJA, Inc. for the Red Bud South Project. This supplement will provide for additional Plans, Specification and Estimate (PS&E) work for Utility conflicts encountered during the development of the 100% PS&E. This additional work has been discussed with the CORR Utility Department and includes:
Relocating a 16" waterline
Relocating a Pressure Relief Vault
Adding a Pressure Relief Vault
Relocating waterlines at Red Bud and Forest Creek
Relocating an existing 8" reuse line
Relocating an existing 12" force main
Relocating and existing 6" force main - several hundred feet
Installing new 8" Reuse line, 12" forcemain, and 6" forcemain
In summary
4830 LF of waterline (16" and 12") relocated
5900 LF of force main (6" and 12") relocated
16" waterline converted to a reuse line
Design should be completed in 2022 with construction to begin in 2023.
The original contract with LJA, Inc. for the schematic work on the project to bring the plans to 30% complete was for $550,863.65. Supplement #1 was approved for $1,370,142.09 to bring the PS&E to 100% completion.
The total for Supplement No.2 is $226,790.00. This brings the total project cost to $2,147,795.74.
