Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County regarding sharing costs for the Chandler Branch Tributary 3 Channel Improvements Project.

This is an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Round Rock (CORR) and Williamson County (WilCo) for the sharing of cost for the proposed Chandler Branch Tributary 3 Channel Improvements Project. The current project is an existing channel that is located partly in the city limits of CORR and Williamson County. This area is in serious need for drainage improvements in order to convey stormwater runoff from the Sunrise Road northern corridor into Meadows Lake. The project is currently under design by K. Friese and Associates.
The purpose of this agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions of the allocation of costs for the design and construction of the project. Project total cost estimate is approximately $4.5M. Williamson County agrees to pay $500,000 to CORR as its share of project costs. CORR will invoice Wilco for their portion of the cost once the construction contract is awarded for the project. CORR agrees to pay all project cost in excess of WilCo’s $500,000.
