Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract for Engineering Services with BGE, Inc. for the Chisholm Trail North Utilities Project.

Body

The Chisholm Trail North Utilities Project consists of replacing approximately 2,000 linear feet of 12-inch waterline with 16-inch waterline along Chisholm Trail, beginning approximately 2,500 linear feet north of FM 3406 and extending to the IH-35 southbound frontage road. This project is being conducted with the widening of Chisholm Trail roadway along the same route.  BGE, Inc. is under contract for the design of the Chisholm Trail roadway improvements project; therefore, Utilities recommends entering into this contract with BGE for the engineering design and construction phase services of the waterline.  Upon completion of the design, both the roadway and utilities work will be bid as one project.

Staff recommends approval.

Cost: $104,965.50
