Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 1 with PM Construction & Rehab, LLC for the Chandler Creek 36-inch Wastewater Line Replacement Project.

After contract award and a more detailed site condition assessment was completed, replacement of the wastewater interceptor by pipe bursting of this 732-foot long segment was determined to be too risky. The saturated soils along with a deep burial and the chance of getting "hung up" by the cured in place pipe (CIPP) liner caused the replacement method to be changed to a compression fit method.  Since additional labor is involved in performing the work by compression fit, an increase in the contract price was warranted along with the other changes to the contract documents including the bid proposal, technical specifications and plans. This Change Order No. 1 is in the amount of $97,892.
