On December 22, 2022 the City received, opened and read aloud a total of seven (7) sealed bids for the 2022 Arterial Sidewalk Project. The bids ranged from $567,275.00 to $953,400.00. M & C Fonseca Co., Inc. from Granite Shoals, Texas, submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $567,2750.00. The engineer's opinion of probable construction cost for this project was $553,520.00. References provided by M & C Fonseca Co., Inc were checked and no significant issues were reported.
After reviewing the contractor's experience, references, and bid price, we recommend award of this project to M & C Fonseca., Inc. in the amount of $567,275.00.
