The City of Round Fire Department has identified City owned property at 2901 Settlement Dr. as an optimal location to build a Fire Station. The location would replace the Central Fire Station and best serve the area by reducing response times. The City has solicited a General Contractor for Council approval and for construction to begin for the Fire Station No. 1 project.
As required by the Texas State Statutes, a governmental entity shall provide or contract for the construction materials engineering, testing, and inspection services for construction. This Professional Consulting Services Agreement with Rock Engineering and Testing Laboratory, Inc. is for construction materials and testing services associated with the Fire Station 1 project.
Rock Engineering and Testing Laboratory has successfully completed past projects for the City of Round Rock including the Library and Parking Garage, Bob Bennett Phase 1, Public Safety Training Center, and Fire Station No. 3. They are a local Round Rock based company with a testing laboratory in Round Rock to expedite testing results.
