Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement for Architectural Services and related Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with Marmon Mok Architecture for the Round Rock Sports Center Expansion Project.

The City of Round Rock seeks to construct an addition to the Round Rock Sports Center with a current emphasis on the development of two additional tournament basketball courts adjacent to the existing 6 basketball courts. The new tournament courts will be multi-purpose to also accommodate a single premier competition basketball court overlaid on the tournament courts, with expanded seating on three sides of the court. The court configuration, striping, accessories, and seating configuration will be arranged to support other sports such as volleyball and other special events.
This resolution is for an Architectural Agreement with Marmon Mok Architecture for architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and audio-visual design services for the expansion of the Sports Center. Services include programming, design, cost estimating, commissioning, and construction administration.
As the original architectural firm for the Sports Center, Marmon Mok is recommended as a direct select professional service.
