Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Amended and Restated Emergency Service Organizations Agreement.

This resolution amends the agreement in place between the City of Round Rock and Williamson County with Round Rock Fire Department acting as the Emergency Services Organization for our response area. With this agreement, Round Rock Fire Department agrees that it will respond to at least 80% of the calls dispatched in our services area either as the responding agency or through response agreements such as auto-aid. Round Rock Fire Department must also participate in County functions such as the Hazardous Materials team, swift water rescue team, wildland firefighting and county resource coordinating. Round Rock Fire Department has a great relationship with Williamson County and meets these requirements. Williamson County will also reimburse the City of Round Rock a flat fee of $200 for each square mile covered by Round Rock Fire Department plus $0.70 for each person that resides in our response area.
