Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with BenMark Supply Company, Inc. for the purchase of waterworks, plumbing materials.

This agreement BenMark Supply Company allows the City to purchase waterline and wastewater line repair parts such as pipe and pipe fittings (Ductile,C900, PVC, etc.). Our department can also purchase hydrant repair parts, brass service line repair parts, tapping saddles, Hymax couplings, repair clamps, and spool pieces through this contract. This contract allows the department to acquire parts needed to keep water and wastewater system operating throughout the City. We have been purchasing from BenMark for several years and they have served us well for repair parts that could not be provided by Ferguson Enterprises due to stock levels or being unresponsive to requests. Ferguson was our sole provider for these parts previously, unfortunately with the stock levels of all waterworks parts and growth in the area we have been forced to look elsewhere to assure the City of Round Rock is provided with quality products at a reasonable time. Having multiple vendors to bid on our orders will provide us with competitive pricing as well as options for better service and faster deliveries.
The agreement is for a not-to-exceed amount $300,000 per year for a total amount not-to-exceed of $1,500,000. The term of this agreement is for 5 years.
