Title

Consider a resolution supporting the City of Round Rock's Application to the Texas Department of Transportation's 2023 Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Call for Projects.

Body

This item will allow the Parks and Recreation Department to apply for a Texas Department of Transportation 2023 Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside grant for the Heritage Trail East Project.  If selected, this grant would be an 80% reimbursable grant with a 20% City obligation match.  The total estimated project cost is in excess of $7.25m, so the grant has potential to be in excess of $5.8 million dollars.  Final applications are due June 5th and this resolution is required as part of the application.

Heritage Trail East is a 10' wide section of the Brushy Creek Regional Trail that spans from Mays Street to Georgetown Street.  This section of trail will continue the timeline and representation of Round Rock's history along its length.
