Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No.2 with Freese and Nichols, Inc. for the Erosion, Stabilization and Restoration Project.

On September 10, 2020, the City entered into a Work Authorization Contract with Freese and Nichols, Inc. for $120,000. The purpose of this contract is to help evaluate and design stream stabilization and restoration of creeks and channels with erosion issues. The original contract with Freese and Nichols was for engineering consulting services for the Chandler Branch and Dry Branch Channel Maintenance Improvements and was set to expire on September 10, 2022. The contract was extended to September 11, 2023 with Supplemental Contract No.1.
An extension to the contract term is needed to complete the current active projects under this contract. There is an ample amount of funds still available to finish existing project, so no additional funds need to be added at this moment. This Supplemental Contract No. 2 will extend the contract term to December 31, 2023.
