Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 32, Section 32-33, Commercial Collection Service Charges, Code of Ordinances (2018 Edition), regarding Downtown Commercial District fees. (Second Reading)

The Downtown Dumpster District was created in 2019 to address the solid waste and recycling needs of the downtown businesses. At that time, service rates were established based on the type of business and square footage.
Since 2019, there has not been an update to these service rates. This amendment will bring the current Downtown Dumpster District Rates more in line with the new Commercial Solid Waste Service Rates that were adopted in 2021. These rates are outlined in the Second Amended and Restated Refuse Collection Contract.
